Comments: Thanks for that last experience of the Burma Reunion, so we have established! But the strange thing is again, your memories of the function were not as our two other fellow entry Brats? C'est tres droll??
Comments: I remember going to the Albert Hall. It was for a parade for the Burma Star reunion service. It was run by Ralf Reader of Scout Jamboree fame. Cant remember if we were press ganged or volunteered for it. I can remember that there were some very leggy show girls there too!
Comments: I have found a few pics of the P.T display team and also of Dave Taylor, Bob Purdom, Blondie Roberts and me arriving on Cyprus straight off the HMT Nevassa troop ship. How do I post these on the site?
Comments: I apologise to Brian Fuller for short-changing his Apprentices' Golf Society achievements, and modesty forbids that he should publish a correction.
In addition to his RAFHAAAGS trophy successes, Brian also won the Captain's Trophy in 1996. He has been a member since 1987, when the Society was in its infancy.
Yet more salutes for Brian McNicol, winning both the President's Cup and the WWII Victory Anniversary Cup this year.
I well remember your crash at the canal bridge. Now what was the take-off speed of a Triumph Tiger? I can't find your name in the Entry Nominal Roll, so I assume that you haven't been in touch lately. I have emailed Webmaster John Hayes to put us in touch, since we don't publish email addresses and phone numbers on the Entry web-site.
We have a thriving 79th Entry Association with a President, Secretary, and Treasurer and Dave Martin is a member - living in Southport. We have an annual reunion - this year's is at Welshpool, courtesy of Taff Williams. I hope we can get in touch, Keith. Best wishes - Jerry Collier Inst Fitt (Gen)
Comments: I'm the AA who passed out to JT then got his disharge the same day, after cracking myself up on a Triumph Tiger110 on the Aston Clinton canal bridge. Nice to see the old photo's & some names come back slowly after all this time. Never knew this website existed until idle time with Google. Anyone know where Dave Martin from Liverpool ended up after going back to the 80th after finals?
Comments: After asking the last question without answer, I shall now ask yet another? Doeas anyone remember a group of us going to the Royal Albert hall sometime in 1955/56 for some parade or other and some of us were introduced to Lord Louis Mountbatten? What was theoccasion and other details - Anyone remember?
Comments: Just looking at all the old informal photos, I caught sight of an old school chum whose name was Jim Newman. However, I cannot find out what happened to him as he is not on the posting lists, any advice from anyone?
Comments: Nice one Gabby of the App Air advert on the home page, Thanks! Actually, I didnt join because of any adverts, My brother, ex 69 was obviously enjoying himself so much, I thought that I should have some of that!

With our reunion in a few weeks, thought I'd share a snippet heard at the last Reunion march up to Henderson/Grove parade square:
"One of the few advantages to getting older is that you get nearer the front"
